Sultan Education is a program for those curious to learn, but don’t have the opportunities. Through the program, I have implemented and pushed for technological advancement in the education system in Pakistan. I went to a small village called Barazai, located in Northern Pakistan. The school system in Barazai is broken. Many kids don’t attend schools simply because they cannot afford it. On top of that, their families don’t push them towards education. Two subjects that were taught throughout the program were English and programming (emphasis on Web Development). Most students spend their time doing nothing or helping their families with hard labor, such as farming and taking care of livestock at home. What holds back the kids is lack of guidance and resources. The goal was to empower the youth to be able to evolve and achieve beyond their current socioeconomic status. To encourage and instill hope. Through education, my goal was to improve the education system in Barazai and improve the quality of life. Through technology, the possibilities for life improvement and learning is endless! The work is still happening.
