i studied cognitive and computer science at uc berkeley. throughout the 4 years, my main focus was computers.
i took:
when i started berkeley, i hated the place with all my guts. my first time away from family. then, i met some these awesome smart and kind people. they helped turned the place i hated the most to the place i love and miss the most now. they helped me belong.
mahwish, zuhayeer, abdullah, nour, mujahid, fayyaz, ahmad, mariam, mudabbir, emad, adnan, aarish, hammad, unis.
so many other names. and these are just my berkeley peeps. i just wanted to write their names out. their love, respect, and kindness helped me learn and grow immensely.
i don't think i can it put into words the love i have for basketball. whether it's watching or playing. i love every aspect of it. ball helped me develop some of the most beautiful relationships throughout my life. it taught me to work on the fundamentals every single day. it taught me to master the basics. it taught me to be on court and show grit every single day. it taught me the importance of consistency.
i thought i was always a slow reader, which discouraged me from reading. but as i tried a different approach, it worked well. the approach was that i read with purpose. purpose to learn and grow. and also look cool when i had discussions with my friends lol. it sounds fake but it also helped to read bc i just wanted to know things too. it got better and fun. reading speed is absolutely irrelevant now. i really got into reading in my ap literature class. that's when i read for me. now i just be reading without much trouble. i'm currently reading the alchemist. . so far so good. i know i'm late. if you have any recommendations, pls do let me know down below ⬇️
